Scope of the terms and Lippunet's role
These terms of purchase and use apply to the Lippunet service provided by FoxCodePlus Oy (Business ID 2939023-3): the lippu.net online ticket shop, the purchase of tickets, and the use of electronic tickets. Lippunet is the seller of the tickets and appears as the payee on your receipt. The event organizer is responsible for organizing the event; the organizer of each event is stated in the event details and in the order confirmation. By buying a ticket or using the service you confirm that you have read these terms and the privacy policy and agree to comply with them. These terms are drawn up in Finnish and translated into English; in case of any discrepancy or translation error between the language versions, the Finnish version prevails. Breaching the terms may lead to cancellation of your order or tickets, blocking of your access to the service, or refusal of entry to the event without compensation.
Changes to the terms and the service
We may update these terms unilaterally, for example when legislation, payment methods, or service features change. The terms currently in force are always available on this page, and the date of the latest update is shown at the top. A purchase is governed by the terms in force at the time of purchase, and by continuing to use the service after changes you accept the updated terms. All previous versions of the terms remain permanently available in the version history at the end of this page. We also have the right to develop and change the service and to take the service or part of it temporarily offline, for example for maintenance or updates.
Intellectual property
The content of the service — including texts, images, logos, trademarks, software, and the ticket security technology — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights belonging to FoxCodePlus Oy, event organizers, or other rights holders. We reserve all rights to the service and its content. Copying, storing, modifying, or transmitting material for any purpose other than your own personal use of the service is prohibited without the rights holder's permission.
Customer account and sign-in
Buying tickets does not require a password: you sign in to the service with a one-time code sent to your email or phone number, or with a passkey created for your device. You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details you provide are correct and under your control, and for keeping your email account, phone subscription, and devices secure. You are responsible for all activity on your customer account. We have the right to block access to the service for a customer who has breached these terms, the law, or good practice.
Personal data and cookies
We process personal data as described in our privacy policy. Among other things, the policy explains what data we collect when you make a purchase, what it is used for, and how order-related data is disclosed to the event organizer, who acts as an independent data controller for that data. We use only cookies that are essential for the operation of the service — no advertising cookies. The privacy policy is available in the service before registration and before you make a purchase decision.
Permitted use
You may use the service only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the law, official regulations, and good practice. Reselling tickets for commercial profit is prohibited without the event organizer's prior permission. Using tickets for marketing purposes, including as competition prizes, is prohibited without the consent of Lippunet or the event organizer. Material in the service may be used only for your own transactions, and you may not send or transmit material in the service that is contrary to the law or good practice.
Purchase and payment
Check your order details — the event, date, number of tickets, and your contact details — carefully before paying, as tickets cannot be exchanged or returned. Prices include VAT, and any service or handling fees are itemized at checkout before you make your purchase decision. The available payment methods are shown at checkout. A ticket is valid only for the event and date for which it was purchased. If you buy a discounted ticket, be prepared to prove your eligibility for the discount at the event entrance, and at age-restricted events you must present identification on request. Cultural and sports benefits (for example ePassi, Smartum, or Edenred) are a personal payment method that can only be used to buy tickets for your own use and only for events covered by the benefit. A guardian is responsible for the actions of an underage customer. If an order cannot be fulfilled as such due to a technical error, for example regarding seat reservations, we will offer equivalent seats or refund the order. We reserve the right to cancel tickets that have been obtained by fraud, that are offered for unauthorized resale, or that exceed a purchase limit set for the event.
Reservations, discount codes and payment processing
Tickets reserved in your cart must be paid within the time shown at checkout. Unpaid reservations expire automatically and the tickets are returned to sale. Joining a possible waitlist does not create a reservation or guarantee tickets. The validity and conditions of discount codes are decided by the event organizer, and misuse of a code may lead to cancellation of the order. Payments are handled by a payment service provider, but Lippunet appears as the payee on your receipt and statement.
Gift cards and add-on products
A gift card's validity period is stated at the time of purchase and together with the gift card. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, and unused value is not compensated after the validity period ends. Add-on products may be sold alongside tickets. Add-on services tied to the event, such as interval refreshments or parking, are subject to the same terms as tickets. Physical products are subject to the statutory 14-day distance-selling return right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
Ticket delivery
Tickets are delivered electronically as soon as your payment is confirmed: you receive the order confirmation and tickets by email, and the tickets are also available in the service's mobile wallet. In some cases tickets can also be delivered by post, if this delivery method is offered for the event; delivery fees and the estimated delivery time are shown at checkout before purchase, and we are not responsible for postal delays. Tickets cannot be picked up from an office. Your tickets remain available in the mobile wallet, which you can always access by signing in with your email address — even if your device is lost or replaced. You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details you provide: tickets that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect email address are not compensated. Please make sure before the event that you can open your ticket on your device. If you do not receive your tickets within a reasonable time after payment, check your spam folder and contact our customer service if needed.
Cancellation and refund rights
Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, tickets carry no exchange or return rights. The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance selling does not apply to leisure services agreed for a specific date — such as admission tickets to events. A purchase therefore cannot be cancelled after the payment has been confirmed, unless the event organizer separately offers broader exchange or return rights, which will be stated in the event details.
Transferring and reselling tickets
You can transfer a ticket to another person using the service's official transfer feature, if transfers are enabled for the event in question. In a transfer, the ticket is invalidated for the sender and registered to the recipient, who accepts these terms by accepting the ticket. A ticket passed on by any other means — for example as a screenshot or a forwarded email — does not guarantee entry, and the original buyer is responsible for such a handover. An accepted transfer cannot be reversed. Any refunds, for example if the event is cancelled, are always paid to the ticket's original buyer, and event-related messages are sent primarily to the original buyer, who must pass the information on to the ticket's recipient. We may cancel a transfer if we suspect misuse. Commercial resale is prohibited without the organizer's permission, and tickets found in unauthorized resale may be invalidated without compensation.
Event changes and cancellations
The event organizer, not Lippunet, is responsible for the delivery of the event and for any changes or cancellation. The organizer reserves the right to change the event's schedule, venue, performers, or other details, for example due to an official order, safety reasons, or another cause beyond the organizer's control (force majeure). If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price; service, handling, delivery, and other possible additional fees are not refunded. If an event is moved to a new date, the ticket remains valid as such for the rescheduled event. If you cannot attend on the new date, you can request a refund of the ticket price from our customer service within a reasonable time of the rescheduling announcement; service and handling fees are not refunded in that case. If an event has to be interrupted, a partial refund may be given if the majority of the event does not take place. Please follow the event details and the organizer's communications before the event. Essential notifications concerning the event, such as change and cancellation announcements, are sent to you by email or text message regardless of your marketing consent.
Refund process
Ticket refunds for a cancelled event are not issued automatically: you request a refund from Lippunet's customer service, unless the organizer announces another refund procedure. A refund must be requested within a reasonable time of the event or its cancellation; otherwise the right to a refund may be lost. Once your refund request has been received, the money is returned within two weeks, primarily to the same payment method used for the purchase. If the organizer becomes insolvent or bankrupt, unused tickets become a bankruptcy claim that you can lodge in the organizer's bankruptcy; customers who paid by credit card may also claim reimbursement from their credit card company.
Customer's responsibility
You agree to comply with these terms, the law, the instructions of the authorities, and good practice, as well as the event organizer's instructions and rules of conduct. You are responsible for keeping your ticket safe and presenting it at the entrance on a working mobile device or as a printout, and for the devices and connections required to use the service. Items prohibited by the organizer or dangerous items may not be brought to the event area, and the organizer or a party authorized by it has the right to carry out security checks. You agree to behave at the event equally, respectfully towards others, and without discriminating against anyone. Inappropriate behavior, such as causing a disturbance or violent conduct, may lead to refusal of entry or removal from the event, in which case the ticket price is not refunded. A ticket that is lost, or that has been passed on by any means other than the official transfer feature, is not replaced or refunded. Please note that sound levels at events may be high; hearing protection is recommended, especially for children. You are liable for damage you cause through use of the service contrary to the law or these terms.
Lippunet's responsibility
Lippunet acts as the publisher of the service and strives to keep the service fully operational. However, we are not responsible for uninterrupted availability of the service or for technical faults, outages, or other matters beyond our control, such as disruptions at payment service providers or messaging services, except as required by mandatory consumer protection legislation. We are not liable for indirect damages. We are responsible for the security of the service and for the careful processing of personal data as described in the privacy policy. If the service contains links to third-party websites or services, we are not responsible for their content, and they are governed by the terms of the parties in question.
Organizer's responsibility
The event organizer is responsible for the event and its delivery: changes to the program, venue, or seating, any cancellation and the costs arising from it, and its statutory obligations related to organizing the event. The organizer is responsible for the marketing of its event and the accuracy of the information it provides, and for ensuring that the event complies with laws and official instructions concerning safety and order.
Dispute resolution
Disputes concerning these terms are primarily resolved through negotiation with our customer service. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, a consumer customer may contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice) and refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) for resolution. You may also bring an action in the district court of the Finnish locality in whose jurisdiction you are domiciled or permanently resident; if you are not resident in Finland, disputes are handled by the competent district court determined by law. These terms are governed by Finnish law.
